The Puppy Party Throw is a cute butterfly-themed, made of quirky little elements like granny squares used to form a gingham pattern and simple butterfly squares to add an extra level of detail.
This pattern is also beginner-friendly, with step-by-step photos for every single part of the pattern.
This design was originally made for my book, Crochet Retro Blankets in 1 Week. The book includes its matching pillow pattern, too!
Sizing
The standard blanket size is 46.5" (118 cm) wide and 46.5" (118 cm) long; this is the size you see in photos. There are instructions for customized sizing included.
Materials
Hook: 5mm or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions:
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Yarn: Aran/worsted/size 4 weight
I used acrylics and wools like Lion Brand Pound of Love and Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling to make this. I recommend using a similar acrylic or wool for your own project; you can find good substitutes on yarnsub.com.
Always make a swatch before beginning to make sure you meet gauge (also important so your pattern isn’t too big or too small) and are happy with the fabric created!
