About

The Scrapbook Blanket is a whimsical, choose-your-own-adventure throw where you get to decide what stitches to make next! This pattern is also beginner-friendly.

I absolutely love this design. It was so much having a few guidelines (colors, stitches), and then just going for it! I made this as a gift for my cousin when he was getting married.

Sizing

Since this is a scrap yarn blanket, you can make it as wide and as long as you like. I’ll give you recommendations along the way if you’d like yours to look similar to mine, but don’t be afraid to switch things up!

Materials

Hook: 5mm or size needed to obtain gauge

Notions:

  • Tapestry needle

  • Scissors

Yarn: Worsted/aran/size 4 weight

I used acrylics like Lion Brand Pound of Love, Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling, and Vanna’s Choice to make this. I recommend using a similar acrylic or wool for your own project; you can find good substitutes on yarnsub.com.

Always make a swatch before beginning to make sure you meet gauge (also important so your pattern isn’t too big or too small) and are happy with the fabric created!
